The official closing ceremony of the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR) took place on 7 May 2026 in Brussels, in the presence of Maria Cristina Russo, Deputy Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, and Christophe Salomon of the French Academy of Sciences. The French National Metrology Network (RNMF) was represented alongside delegates from the national metrology institutes that are members of EURAMET, representatives of the European Commission, and the programme's academic and industrial partners.

The SI Brochure is the reference document describing the International System of Units (SI), the only internationally recognized system of units. This new version of the brochure includes changes to the section on non-SI units and updates the presentation of explanatory notes throughout the publication.

On April 23 and 24 2026, LNE organized the 31st annual meeting of the Interdisciplinary Technical Committee (TC-IM). This event brought together 23 in-person participants, representing around twenty member countries, to discuss cross-cutting metrology issues and strengthen international collaboration.

From 28–30 April 2026, the 8th EMN Energy Gases General Meeting will bring together experts, partners and stakeholders for strategic discussions, joint workshops and the 3rd Stakeholders Council Meeting, under the organisation of LNE, LNE-LADG, EMN Energy Gases and the JRPs H2FlowTrace and MetHyTrucks.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Meter Convention, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) organized a series of events in Paris and Versailles on May 20, 21, and 22, 2025.

The Laboratoire National Henri Becquerel (LNE-LNHB) is organising the 24th International Conference on Radionuclide Metrology and its applications from 19 to 23 May 2025. This conference, which will be held in Paris, is an event organised every two years that brings together experts from all over the world to discuss advances and challenges in the field of radioactivity metrology. 

The RNMF will be present at the International Congress of Metrology which will take place in Lyon from March 11 to 14, 2025. The CIM 2025 has a special character on the occasion of the 150^th anniversary of the signature of the metre Convention.

This European conference, organized at the Collège de France in Paris from June 4 to 6, 2024, aims to bring together two scientific communities to discuss the latest advances in knowledge of the fundamental aspects of quantum phenomena in hybrid superconductors and in the field of quantum devices and sensors in general.

EURAMET is organizing a webinar on European regulations in the field of energy, on June 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 a.m., which will be moderated by the president of EMN Clean Energy (João Alves e Sousa - Director of IPQ).

TEMPMEKO/ISHM, the joint international Symposium on Temperature, Humidity, Moisture and Thermal Measurements in Industry and Science will be organised for the first time in France, from October the 20^th to the 24^th, 2025 by LNE-Cnam in cooperation with LNE-Cetiat under the auspices of Imeko TC12 and the working group humidity of the consultative committee for thermometry
